About the Authors

Ken Liu is an award-winning author of speculative fiction. His books include the Dandelion Dynasty series (The Grace of Kings), The Paper Menagerie and Other StoriesThe Hidden Girl and Other Stories, and the Star Wars tie-in novel, The Legends of Luke Skywalker. He frequently speaks at conferences and universities on topics like futurism, machine-augmented creativity, the mathematics of origami, and more. He lives near Boston with his family. Ramsey Shehadeh‘s stories have appeared in Weird Tales, Strange Horizons, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, The Drabblecast, as well as on Tor.com. His work has also been collected in a few anthologies, including The Big Book of Modern Fantasy, Wastelands 2 and Steampunk II: Steampunk Reloaded. Alex Irvine is the author of A Scattering of Jades, One King, One Soldier, The Narrows, Buyout, and Anthropocene Rag, as well as The Comic Book Story of Baseball and numerous licensed comics and novels in the universes of (among others) Marvel, DC, Dungeons & Dragons, Halo, Transformers, and Supernatural. His short fiction has been collected in Rossetti Song, Unintended Consequences, and Pictures from an Expedition. He has written or worked on about twenty games for Blizzard, Amazon, Marvel, and other studios, including the Peabody Award-winning Alternate Reality Game known as The Beast. Priya Sharma’s fiction has appeared in venues such as InterzoneBlack Static, Nightmare, The Dark and Tor.com.  “Fabulous Beasts” (Tor.com) was a Shirley Jackson Award finalist and won a British Fantasy Award for Short Fiction. Priya is a Shirley Jackson Award and British Fantasy Award winner,  and Locus Award finalist,  for her short story collection “All the Fabulous Beasts” (Undertow Publications).  Her novella “Ormeshadow” (Tor.com) won a Shirley Jackson Award and a British Fantasy Award. It was a 2022 Grand Prix de l’Imaginaire finalist. Her latest novella “Pomegranates” (PS Publishing) is a finalist for a Shirley Jackson Award, a British Fantasy Award, and a World Fantasy Award. Carrie Vaughn‘s work includes the Philip K. Dick Award winning novel Bannerless, the New York Times Bestselling Kitty Norville urban fantasy series, over twenty novels and upwards of 100 short stories, two of which have been finalists for the Hugo Award.  Her most recent novel, Questland, is about a high-tech LARP that goes horribly wrong and the literature professor who has to save the day. She’s a contributor to the Wild Cards series of shared world superhero books edited by George R. R. Martin and  a graduate of the Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop.  An Air Force brat, she survived her nomadic childhood and managed to put down roots in Boulder, Colorado.
